Plans underway for Middle School expansion

HOPE is working on plans to build a new home for the Middle School, which opened in 2005 on the second floor of the Holton YMCA. When the new building is completed, the Middle School will expand to serve grades K4-8.

The Milwaukee Department of Administration reports that, in the neighborhoods that HOPE schools serve, at least:
•  41.5 percent of residents 25 years and older have not
   earned a high school diploma
•  41.7 percent are families in poverty
•  42.3 percent are younger than 17

In fewer than five years, HOPE is helping to turn this tide. We are equipping our students with the skills they need to succeed, instead of becoming another sobering statistic. Through our community partnerships and the commitment of our students and their families, we are helping to revitalize neighborhoods, restore faith, and renew every student’s sense of potential and self-worth.

We are confident that, over time, our combined efforts will lead to better health, reduced crime, increased incomes and more taxpaying citizens.
